The 0 point – Maintaining Inner Balance and the Middle Way

Presidential Letter – Newsletter March 2022

The 0 point – Maintaining Inner Balance and the Middle Way

Hello dear EARTh members,

By now, you might have already got used to my ‘dynamic’ style of writing the Presidential Letter. I wrote about transformation, transcendence, polarities, being grateful and the flow of giving and receiving. Today I would like to address a rather ‘static’ topic because I feel there is too much movement in the world at the moment and very few are concern with maintaining what we have already gained but can sometimes easily lose – inner balance.

I have always been interested in experiencing the ʽin-betweenʼ and what is in the middle at the contact point. Maybe that’s why I was intuitively attracted towards Gestalt Therapy, and Aikido, and Buddhism. Four months ago, I experienced what I could call a transcendental state of consciousness during one of my personal regression sessions. I have had many interesting experiences until now, but I consider this ʻthe cherry on the topʼ. Being a therapist, I immediately transformed my experience into a method that I’ll have the pleasure to present in September at our next convention in Romania. Long story short, that session was for me like an inner reset, followed by the reinstallation of a new software. I could experience a state of consciousness that I now call the ʻ0 point energyʼ, being inspired by the science of the quantum matter at the temperature of 0 Kelvin, meaning a space of infinite potentials.

So, back to reality. We are all aware about the conflicts between Russia and Ukraine and we all have different strategies of coping with it – some are running and going to the mountains, some are getting involved into humanitarian actions, others are blaming the other party or they are turning the outside conflict into an inner one; it is clear that we have diversity. Personally, I chose to experience the middle way and not take sides. At the same time, not taking sides, it may appear as if we are choosing not to get involved, but there is another angle to it: actually we choose to maintain inner balance and meditate on peace; and from that state if we feel to act, the effect of our actions will be multiplied. We choose to maintain a good, positive vibration and spread it around us, in a world dominated by fear and panic. This may bring some balance, be it with our friends, family members, clients or whoever may need it.

Probably you noticed that you got more and more clients during the last 2 years of the covid time and this will continue as the outside conflicts are related to the inner ones. But isn’t it how therapy goes? We know it – the acute trauma takes place in our childhood. Because we can’t deal with it at that point, in order to keep going, we use our defensive mechanisms and make it chronic. Then, we start therapy and we reverse the process – we go from chronic to acute and then the healing follows. The world was in a chromic state for some time and now it becomes more and more acute. This means the healing will follow for sure. We know that the healing process is not easy, but there are always resources along the way, so we can stay positive. So now it’s time to start using what we have learnt and prepared for, for us and for the ones that ask for our help.

Now a few words about EARTh. Things are going quite well with our association, we are getting new members and maintaining the balance of around 300 members. The committees are very active and working hard – we have new research projects, the PR Committee is working to update the website, the Program Committee is doing a great job with evaluating the workshops proposals and organizing the AC 2022 program, the webinars continue as scheduled. In the EARTh College Committee, we have been working for the past months to make it easier for schools to apply to our association – we want to bring clarity and simplicity. The ‘legal’ branch of EARTh is stable, the Financial Committee handles with grace the tasks that come and in the Bylaws Committee there is a new wind of change because we are working on updating the Bylaws. Thank you committee members and Chairs for all your efforts, time and good results!

As for the Convention in Romania, everything is going smoothly. The organizing team in Romania that I coordinate works closely with the committees and we manage more parallel strings. We prepared a very nice tour for you and we also want to be sure that you’ll have a nice travel experience from the airport to the venue (you’ll find more details in this newsletter). Another good news is that my effort to obtain discounts and benefits for our association is starting to materialize – I managed to obtain some sponsorship for the beverages and the hotel management offered all EARTh members unlimited free passes to the swimming pool during the period of the convention (previously there was only one free entrance per person). So, don’t forget to pack your swimming suit! There are many other surprises that we are preparing for you and can’t wait to welcome you to Romania!

At the end of March, we are planning to have our Board winter meeting in Romania to work for EARTh, but also check that everything goes as planned with the venue.

As you can see, our association is also changing and for the better! If you have ideas or want to contribute, don’t hesitate to contact us! We are here for you!

Warm regards,

The Flow of Giving and Receiving

Presidential Letter – Newsletter January 2022

The Flow of Giving and Receiving

Hello dear EARTh members and Happy New Year!

I wish you a year full of inspiration, creativity and open doors for whatever you want to do and brings value to your life.

Holidays are now over and we are slowly coming back to our normal rhythm and everyday life and work. I heard many stories from my clients and I also observed a lot with my analytical mind – I noticed that Christmas is not about giving and receiving presents only, it’s also about meeting family and friends. Now, family meetings are always a ‘hot topic’, because even if we want it or not there is always some family karma being put on the table (literally) and in a way, these gatherings become therapeutic. Being therapists, very often we enter into this role with the close ones – sometimes having to moderate conflicts (that are not directly ours) or even having to transform the energies around us, including digesting the food that also contains part of the emotional energy and intention of the one that prepared it. So, we also receive what we don’t want and in this case we can either see how much we can accept and transform or we can put boundaries. But, if the boundaries are too harsh, then we can hurt the loved ones or entirely stop the flowing of giving and receiving. It’s always a delicate matter how we can tango in relationships, offering to the others, but also taking the time to offer ourselves and recharge our batteries.

As I already mentioned, I very often observe my clients’ lives and I can notice the balance or the unbalance of giving and receiving to others and to themselves. I also see that the very sensitive people withdraw from the relationships with others because they are hurt. As this strategy could be a solution for a short while, stopping the flow of giving and receiving brings them to a state of not feeling at home, lacking the purpose and meaning, depression or even more serious mental disorders.

What works best with unbalanced patterns of giving and receiving is finding ways to feel and express gratitude. I already mentioned this aspect during my July Presidential Letter, as well as the work done by doctor Joe Dispenza on this topic. So, as a short reminder – feeling grateful puts oneself in a state of receiving more of what made you feel grateful in the first place. Even if you bring the reason to be grateful from the past, you’ll feel it in the present and that will put you back in the flow and when you are in the flow, you are nourished and full of the joy of living.

And now, let’s reflect a bit on our association – how do we maintain the flow of giving and receiving? How is it working for each of you? Do you consider yourself as more of a giver or a receiver in EARTh? Or maybe you already obtained the balance and then you can reflect on how you managed to do that.

Personally, I’ve been through all the phases – at the beginning, I received more support starting with AC 2015 in Dublin when I was encouraged to open my own school and I was also offered the opportunity to present a workshop and make myself known. After that, I had the desire to offer back, so I got involved more in the leadership structures of EARTh, the Committees, the Board and at the present time I’m having the opportunity of being the President of EARTh. I’m a sensitive person, this position offers me a broader view and I can feel how energies flow in our association. I am happy to observe that since 2020, when the COVID period started, there has been more giving and receiving than ever, in EARTh and on planet Earth. This seems contradictory if we think that we traveled less, we had less physical interactions and we stayed more at home. Our connection was maintained by technology, so we can be grateful for that. Since 2020, we have started to offer webinars that now are more organized and structured, we organized two online conferences, we had a lot of online therapy – some of it offered for free to help our colleagues. We had more and more young people getting involved in EARTh, new members joined the committees, we learnt how to delegate so that not only a few people do the work in a committee or the Board. We are closer to each other than ever before. And this is also because of the raise of the consciousness that happened in the last 2 years – difficult times, but very transformative.

I would like to end my Presidential Letter with a reminder – the next best opportunity to contribute, on a large scale, to the flow of giving and receiving in EARTh is our next Annual Convention that will happen in Romania between 16-25th of September at a beautiful venue in the mountains. I’ll coordinate the local team and make sure everything is in order and prepared to welcome you. The more to come, the merrier! I am sure that by now you have all received the first and second Call for Papers. So please take into consideration sending a workshop proposal (the deadline is the 6th of February) and then attend physically our Annual Convention – the giving and receiving flow is so much better like this.

From Transformation to Transcendence

Presidential Letter – Newsletter October 2021

From Transformation to Transcendence

Hello dear EARTh members,

It’s been almost 1 month since the first Online Congress organized by EARTh ended. This wasn’t the only reason why it was different, it was also the most waited event. Initially planned for the summer of 2020, we had to postpone it for one year and then change again the dates for September 2021. Because of the current pandemic period, we decided last minute to organize it online. It was a tremendous effort, especially because EARTh organized the congress by itself, so we didn’t have a local team to organize it (another first). I would like to take this occasion to give thanks to all the people that made this Congress happen, especially to the Board members (Janine, Diba, Gudrun, Aysegul and Rita), the members from the Program Committee where Aysegul was Chair and the members from the PR Committee where Janine was Chair. And a special link who connected the work of all these dedicated people, special thanks to our dear, hard-working secretary Anna Merkulova.

The Congress exceeded all expectations in my view, we had a very good and diverse program, professional presentations and a lot to learn. The opening ceremony had a very touching moment commemorating John   and the closing ceremony had its therapeutic and artistic moments. The General Assembly was a very dynamic event, with a lot of useful feedback from the EARTh members regarding vital issues – a true democratic meeting of open-minded ‘earthlings’. This General Assembly pointed out another need of our association: to meet online and exchange ideas and suggestions on important matters more often. I also take this chance to thank you all for your trust in electing me as the President of EARTh. It is an honor for which I am grateful.

For me, and I think that for most of the participants also, the Congress was truly a transformative experience. The next step would be transcendence as Trisha Caetano taught us in her workshop.

If we look to the future, the next stop is the 2022 Annual Convention. I’m happy to invite you all to the magical lands of Romania. I made a very beautiful power point of the next venue. I presented it during the closing ceremony and you can access it through this newsletter. The landscape is absolutely outstanding as you will see from the pictures, the hotels are large and have a lot of rooms so you can come with your family and also stay a few more days to complete your vacation. The personnel is very kind and we obtained a good price and excellent conditions for our group. I hope I made you curious to check out the power point presentation where you will find all the details you need to take your decision.

I’ll end my presidential letter with a few words of wisdom noted during the workshops I participated in. I mentioned some of them during the closing ceremony, but they are worth repeating:

When we come back home we want to bring something that we didn’t have before, otherwise it would be in vane. Like a bee that comes back to the hive, but with honey. (Hans ten Dam)

One of our responsibilities as Therapists is to peel the lies layer by layer from the Client until the truth reveals. And the second one that brought a smile on my face – We don’t need to take drugs, mushrooms or any psychedelics, we have Regression Therapy. (Trisha Caetano)

If you want to change something, you have to become one with it. (Martin Roesch)

I wish you all to be in good health and make your good disposition a top priority. Also, remember to stay connected. Together we are all better!

Warm regards,

Victor Chirea

Being Grateful Means Transformation

Presidential Letter – Newsletter July 2021

Being Grateful Means Transformation

Hello dear EARTh members,

Just before starting to write this presidential letter, I was listening to one of doctor Joe Dispenza’s speeches. I was planning to write about something else, but there were some ideas there that awakened my brain and I think they are worth mentioning; so, I went for a different topic. Coincidence or not, in this video he was talking about change and transformation, exactly the theme of our Congress. This title has been following us for the past 2 years. We had to postpone for one year, we thought of canceling or finding new ways of combining online and physical workshops. However, at the same time, we were always watching what the restrictions were and what the authorities were saying. In that period we were putting our power outside in the hands of ‘whoever was in charge’ that said we had to comply with these rules and they could actually change these rules whenever they wanted. Things were not moving past discussions and making plans only; the program of the Congress was not finalized because we didn’t really know what presenters would still attend. There were very few new registrations and for the already registered people many of them were uncertain – should I cancel my registration? Should I wait more? This is exactly how a blockage looks like.

We couldn’t wait any longer, so, in some way, we decided to take our power back and not depend on the external pandemic conditions. The only reasonable solution was to opt for a full online Congress. After this decision was made, things started to move forward and we were in the flow again.

In the same video doctor Dispenza was saying that in order to change our old patters of being we have to do something different to change the neural patterns in our brain. So, I invite you to do something different and register for our online Congress. We never before did it like this, this is the first online Congress and it is unique. You have the final program in this newsletter. You can see there is a great diversity, you can make your choices where you want to participate live and later on you can watch the recordings of the other workshops. Together we can make this Congress great for us!

Now let’s focus on us and this one and a half year that has just passed. I know that for many of you it was a very hard period, although I also know that for others was one of the best periods of their lives. Of course, it’s not great while we are deep down in our shadow, living ‘the dark night of the soul’ that may seem endless; but after that hard period is over and we are past that, integrated and transformed, most of us will say – ‘this was the best thing that happened to me’. For those who are not there yet, well just continue and don’t give up! The sun always shines after the rain stops.

The last idea in doctor Dispenza’s video, that made my brain tingle, was this – in order to accomplish something that you want you have to be grateful in advance for that thing that you don’t have yet. So, you have to behave like you already have it. Gratefulness is the emotion that occurs when we already received what we wanted, so when we are really being grateful, the chemistry in our body changes and the neuronal patterns in the brain start changing as well and then the subconscious mind changes. This is the first step to change our believes that create our reality. If you want, you can take 5 minutes of your time right now and do this experiment – think of something for which you can really be grateful, now feel this in your body (probably in your heart); and start breathing into your heart and expand being grateful in all the parts of your body. Do that for a few minutes. Isn’t it already better? Now, be aware of something that you want to achieve. Keep it present in your mind and imagine that you already have it. At the same time, remember that feeling of gratefulness from a few minutes ago. Just breathe consciously in this state of consciousness. If this inspired you, you can repeat this exercise 5-10 minutes every day and notice the change, but try to be detached from what the universe will bring; judging can ruin the beauty of the experience.

Keeping this state of gratefulness of the body-mind-heart, I invite each committee chair to send for our next newsletter the best accomplishment of their committee, the best thing to be grateful for and they want to share it with the rest of us. You can send your texts to this address – info@earth-association.org – it doesn’t need to be large, but we would like to feel the enthusiasm and happy vibes. Celebrations means transformation.

Gratefully,

Victor Chirea

Presidential Letter – Newsletter May 2021

Hello dear EARTh members,

There have been many things going on lately so most probably this will be a long presidential letter. For the last 4 months I’ve been having the role of Acting President of EARTh. This synchronized with changing our home and I’m still adapting with the new life style. So it’s been a very dynamic and transformational process from the professional point of view, but also personal.

During these 4 months, and thanks to the position I have in EARTh now, I had the opportunity to have meetings with people that have a great influence in EARTh. More than before, I had to look at EARTh as a whole, as an alive system, and not only the elements of the system. In one of my meeting with Hans ten Dam we have talked about what slows down EARTh, what is draining our resources (energy and time mainly) and what can be done to improve all decisional processes.

One of our conclusion was that schools are the heart of our association; here is where the magic is happening, from the schools EARTh gets most of the members, here we do therapy, we train students and spread the word about what Regression Therapy is.

After this talk I put more focus on the subject using my personal experience and also the relationships with others. So I’ve been observing with mindfulness.

I noticed that one of the things that consumes energy in EARTh, but also on our planet and civilization is how we deal with polarities. Polarity means differences, it can also mean conflict, but in the end if this is managed with wisdom we have transformation instead of separation.

Taking a deeper look I noticed that our association is also built on polarities – on one had it is a professional association, on the other hand many see it like a big family; this could be an advantage when we are in search of contact and being closer, but also a disadvantage when we are trying to be efficient and solve problems. Because when we try to solve a problem (at the Board level or at the Committees level for example) if we want to be democratic and also take into consideration all the ‘family members’ and opinions this will take more time than if only one or a few would take that decision. The last option is faster, but also some could feel left out and then we have the power in our association being left to only a few. We’ve been on that road already. It doesn’t work. So, this is still an ongoing process to figure out the balance between these two perspectives.

Another aspect involved is time, bringing forth another polarity – how we balance things between work for EARTh and personal time (time with the family and individual time for relaxation). How we balance voluntary work and paid work.

Personally, I’m starting to be happy about how things are being handled in the Board, we are more pragmatic and we start to function more as one. Despite this, change is needed and in 2 years there will be a totally different Board as most of our mandates end.

We are in constant fluctuations between polarities and choices, but this also means vibration, pulsation and in the end it generates the force of life and regeneration. The good thing about polarities and diversity is that we can always take a look and find the common ground in between polarities – the so called ‘zero point’, the source of inner peace and acceptance.

I wish you all good health and to find balance during these times of fluctuation and instability. Stay connected.

Going through Transformation

Presidential Letter – Newsletter January-February, 2021

Going Through Transformation

Hello dear friends,

This is my first presidential letter. Since December, I have taken over the presidential duties, while John can have his time to recover from difficult medical interventions. Thank you John for your trust in me.

I actually started to write this letter in the plane on my way home after 4 wonderful days with my colleagues from the Board. We had our winter meeting and we visited the venue that we are going to choose for our next Annual Convention. At present, I can share with you that it will be in Turkey, Izmir area in an amazing location on the seashore. We were treated like royalties and everything was beyond our expectations. Thank you Diba for finding this place and I can say for sure we are in good hands for the 2021 Convention.

Our next World Congress in Baarlo is about Transformation and this is not by chance. Everything around us is changing, with a speed higher than that of light. The speed of thoughts and emotions is instant, because we are all connected. And because of that everyone counts, everyone contributes with something – aware or unaware. I like to think that in our association we raise awareness with what we do, with what we think and what we are. Being together through good, but also difficult times gives us the strength to overcome all obstacles and transform ourselves while doing so.

We are all going through transformation. We are challenged on multiple aspects – energy, time and health. And sometimes if we are ok, then the dear ones are having hard times. I noticed that most of us (therapists) have the tendency to overburden ourselves and not ask for help. We are used to offering most of the time and it’s hard for us to receive. Another thing I observed is that when it’s hard many of us have the tendency to go out of their body, in a ‘better place’, maybe ‘home’ in another space and time from one of our past lives. But, in these times I think we have to bring ‘home’ here instead of going there. If we have the ‘home’ feeling inside, then we’ll be able to feel at home in our human body, on Earth, now. And when we do this, blissful things will start to happen. These are wonderful times happening on Earth and Regression Therapy helped me to understand that I’m exactly where it’s best for me to be now. I hope you can feel the same and if not, then I hope that this state will manifest in your lives.

I would like to end this letter with the invitation to stop for 5 minutes from everything you are doing. Just stop and take a few deep breaths. If you can open the window and breath some fresh air. Take a look out of the window and find the beauty in what you see. Just that. And maybe now you can feel grateful for what you are and for this blink of an eye life that we have here and now on Earth.

A warm hug to you all,

Victor Chirea
Vice President of EARTh

Our loved President…

Dear members of EARTh,

It is with great sadness that we inform you that our president, John van Raamsdonk, has passed away Thursday 12 November in the afternoon.

John had many health challenges in the past few years. He wrote about some of them in our previous newsletters. In the past year he was in hospital for months. He barely survived an open heart operation and also had to recover from an infarction. About five years earlier he cured from a lung tumor.
He surprised doctors and specialists that he survived pretty big challenges.

After a couple of fairly good months, John got some bad news again. A new tumor could be growing in his lungs and the yeast in his blood was back, damaging again his artificial heart valve. Again he had to get infusions three times a day, which to his distress was limiting his possibilities and bringing his energy down.

Unfortunately catching the Corona virus a few weeks ago – by a strike of bad luck, as he put it – was just over the edge for Johns body. He was on a high amount of oxygen and got medication, but both his lungs were damaged and also his kidneys, so the doctors advised him to let go.

He said goodbye to his family and died in the presence of his wife Eda.

Even on his death bed EARTh was on his mind and he wanted to hand things over to Janine, who went to the hospital to say goodbye to him for all of us. He greets you all and mentioned how much he enjoyed being part of EARTh.

We had a board meeting on November 12th and spend some time sending John and his family healing energy, to make the passage for John easier. Right after our meditation we were informed that John had passed away. We feel it is no coincidence.

We will forever remember John for his friendliness, his sense of humor and his ability to connect people. With a various background, from director of a training company, to market vendor, to social worker and taxi driver he could easily connect to everyone and touched many hearts.

We wish John a peaceful journey to reunite with the light of his soul.
We wish his wife Eda and his family much strength in these challenging times.
For all our members who have lost John as a friend: we wish you strength as well.

With love,

The EARTh board and Executive Secretary
Victor, Diba, Gudrun, Aysegul, Rita, Janine and Anna.

THE VALUE of RESEARCH

THE VALUE of RESEARCH

“It’s the client experience that matters!” “It’s enough for the client to heal!” “It’s all about healing!”
I have heard these comments from regression therapists many, many times. Indeed I have made those comments myself many, many times. It is the most important part of our work. This has been true to the extent that I have given very low priority to names, dates, actual evidence that a past life experience can be demonstrated to be true. It seemed to me that turning the focus of a session to the need for validation of factual reality undermined the therapeutic focus of the session. So I just didn’t bother with it much. Read more
